Learn about household solid waste incinerators.

What is a waste incinerator? It is an effective device in waste treatment to protect the environment and promote sustainable development. Industrial waste incineration plants are often called waste-to-energy facilities. The incineration process and high-temperature waste treatment systems are described as thermal treatment. Incineration converts waste into ash, gases, and heat. The ash mainly consists of inorganic components of the waste and can be in solid chunks or particles carried by exhaust gases. The exhaust gases must be cleaned of pollutants in gaseous and particulate forms before being released into the atmosphere. In some cases, the heat generated from the incineration process can be used to produce electricity.

Waste incineration process: is a chemical reaction caused by heat, in which carbon, hydrogen, and other elements in the waste combine with oxygen from the air to produce complete oxidation products and generate heat. High-temperature waste treatment is also called "thermal processing."
